Re: Router problems

Loss of connection to internal network, and random Internet disconnects. I'm due to renew my contract with BT so if I stay I get a new updated router. Plus security is a joke on this one. Little or no information on traffic, logs are pathetic. Just you usual home router supplied by your ISP. It's th...

Router problems

I'm currently having more than a few problems with my router, and it's causing downtime internally and externally. I'm looking at replacing the router (I'm on BT Infinity) and most VDSL routers are £100+ I don't mind the cost as long as it reduces the downtime. Daily reboots (sometimes 2-3 times a d...

Re: Is anyone interested in Python?

Interestingly Windows 10 store now has Python 3.7 IDE, it's not the full version, but it'll do until the complete IDE is available.

Re: Electric Cars - The questions, lies and bullshit... and the truth from an owner

A simple question I keep meaning to ask the Internet: Q. What is regenerative braking? A. The electric motor in your sucks up electrons and spits out the forces that propels the car forward (or reverse). But if you spin the motor backwards it can then act as a generator. So if you're slowing down or...

Electric Vehicles - The Future

The ICE (internal combustion engine) cut-off date is 2040, 21 years away. While it sounds and is a long way off, it gives car makers, home owners, vehicle owners, battery makers and inventors all get up to speed... pardon the pun. Currently if everyone had an EV today then it'd be chaos, the chargin...

Why is Britain's rail service so bad?

I have no idea what it's like on the rail network, the last time I caught a train was 1997 and then only from Leeds to Birmingham, and I slept through most of that too.
But Channel 4 seem to have an idea.

Hint: to find a cure for the infection, you have to hatch the sea emperor's eggs and follow the hatchlings, they have the cure.

Re: Is anyone interested in Python?

I bought them, and I've just finished downloading the entire set... including 20GB of videos.
Can't complain for £12

Yeah I prefer har copies too, but how much paper would be wasted publishing all these books? I suppose it's not wasted if I use them.
